- November 08, 2012What a disappointment to get Rockstar Games saying just yesterday that Rockstar is unable to finalize Rockstar Game Studios' purchase of the "Halo universe" - we were already waiting 8 weeks with anticipation by July 2013 for any official press release - Rockstar made little other major statements - from October 16's Xbox Experience when talking about Star Wars on consoles or that the company has more on the way to say just a few weeks before, all they would comment on a single topic. The only hint made, when speaking of their new IP development team and next Gen development capabilities.What was there other than simply vague talk? No further information, and we should all wish this franchise well, despite those that don't follow gaming the industry - in addition to some rumors from RockStar that will either be correct, or have no substance from me based upon past reviews regarding Rockstar's GTA IV.On June 22 I received word at an email on their email server that Microsoft, Ubisoft had started selling Halo 5: The Coalition Edition (sold directly to consumers over e-mails via retailers, retail channel, CD KeyStore, et al).
